Who I Am
I spent 20 years inside the insurance industry. I worked on the carrier side, at Chubb and CNA, where coverage decisions are made. I founded a parametric insurance startup. I helped build and scale a cyber insurance MGA. I have sat in the rooms where carriers decide what gets paid and what gets denied.
I grew up in Germany, earned an MSc in Electrical Engineering, and started my career in cybersecurity at Siemens. That technical background means I understand the security controls and vendor systems my clients depend on, not just the policies that are supposed to cover them. I also hold an MBA from London Business School.
What Breezy Is
Breezy Risk Advisors is an independent risk advisory firm. I don't place policies. I audit them. No commissions, no broker of record letter, no incentive to sell you anything. Think of it as an external audit of your insurance program: independent and focused entirely on what is actually in your coverage.
I read the full policy wording, test it against real incident scenarios, and identify where multiple policies point at each other instead of paying. Your broker places insurance. I verify whether it works. This is not a replacement for your broker. It is an independent layer that checks their work.
Most businesses pay for insurance without knowing what it will actually cover. I think they deserve to know.
Who I Work With
I work primarily with community banks and credit unions, where overlapping policies create coverage confusion that only surfaces at claim time. I also work with managed service providers navigating Tech E&O and cyber coverages. My work oftentimes complements the audits of CPA firms or compliance consultants who serve these financial institutions.
