About Joerg Proeve

Founder & Principal Risk Advisor

I help managed service providers find the gaps between their contracts and their coverage.

Joerg Proeve, Founder of Breezy Risk Advisors

Why I Started Breezy Risk Advisors

Insurance for MSPs is broken. Most brokers don't understand the technology they're supposed to protect. 20+ years in insurance: Chubb, CNA, founded a parametric MGA, and built the US operation of a cyber MGA, BOXX Insurance, from scratch (acquired by Zurich). I saw this gap everywhere.

My background is different. I started in cybersecurity at Siemens, working with the infrastructure and systems that MSPs manage and protect. This technical foundation gives me a dual perspective: I understand the risks MSPs face and the insurance products that claim to cover them.

I founded Breezy Risk Advisors because MSPs were getting sold policies that don't cover what they do. When I review your insurance, I'm not checking boxes. I'm looking at real scenarios: ransomware response, failed migrations, client lawsuits. I know where the gaps hide.

What Makes My Approach Different

I don't work like traditional brokers. I start by understanding what you do, not what a policy template says you do. Then I show you exactly where coverage will respond, where it won't, and what it will cost to fix.

I speak your language, no insurance jargon, no sales tactics. Just honest answers: Will your policy cover a ransomware incident tied to your remote access? What happens if a cloud migration goes wrong? Does your coverage meet that enterprise contract you're trying to close?

Experience: VP Strategy & Innovation at CNA • AVP Global Operations & Corporate Strategy at Chubb • Founder & CEO, Parachute Insurance (parametric MGA) • COO, BOXX Insurance US (cyber MGA, acquired by Zurich) • Cybersecurity at Siemens

Education: MSc Electrical Engineering, Karlsruhe (Germany) • MBA, London Business School

How We Work Together

I work with managed service providers that have outgrown their broker's understanding: MSPs adding service lines, closing enterprise contracts, acquiring firms, or serving regulated verticals like healthcare and finance. These are the situations where generic "IT consulting" policies break down.

The Risk Intelligence Report is a detailed review of your current policies to identify gaps and exclusions. No sales pitch. Just an honest assessment of where you stand and what needs fixing.
